Volunteer with Us

Over the past 60 years, the Musical Museum has relied on our amazing team of volunteers. We are extremely grateful to all of them for their enthusiasm, skill and support, which helped us to win "Highly Commended - Volunteer Team of the Year" at the Museum and Heritage awards and be recognised as "Volunteering Organisation of the Year" in 2024 by the University of West London .

Join Our Team

We offer a friendly welcome to everyone from all backgrounds and levels of expertise, and have opportunities to suit accordingly - whether you are interested in becoming a tour guide, instrument restoration, reception, audio-visual technology, gardening, accounting, marketing, catering... there are always many roles to fill!

We are particularly looking for help with fundraising and marketing, as well as technical theater or media students who can help us with sound, lighting, vision mixing and content for our YouTube channel - but we would be delighted to welcome a new volunteer in any capacity.

Most instrument restoration and maintenance work takes place on Tuesdays; but there is usually "something going on" and private hire events on most days of the week at the Museum, even when we are not officially open to the public for tours. The Museum also has hybrid capabilities, allowing us to offer some opportunities for remote work.
