For this special day the entire museum is open free of charge, with guided tours running throughout the day so you can discover instruments and inventions that span centuries, and which form the very foundations of modern music-making.

Spend time with Alex Ball and highlights from his exceptional collection of rare Korg and ARP synths, and meet members of the Korg team who will be on hand to guide you through their latest technology.
Korg “Kronology" with Luke Edwards
Take a journey through the history of Korg in this unique presentation. From the earliest analogue classics to the rise of digital and the return to analogue innovation, Luke traces the milestones that have defined Korg’s legacy. Using the latest KRONOS to bring the story to life, he demonstrates how each era of technology shaped the sounds and instruments that continue to inspire musicians today.
The Story of ARP with Dina Pearlman-Ifil and Alex Ball
Discover the legacy of one of the most influential names in synthesis. Join Dina Pearlman-Ifil, daughter of ARP founder Alan R. Pearlman, as she shares her unique perspective on the history and legacy of ARP. She’ll be joined by composer and synth expert Alex Ball, who will bring the story to life by recreating some of the iconic ARP sounds heard on legendary film scores and beyond.
In conversation with Spike Edney
Join Luke Edwards as he sits down with Spike Edney, Queen’s long-time keyboard player and musical director, to share stories from his remarkable career. From Live Aid to touring the world with one of the biggest bands in history, Spike takes us behind the scenes and the stage, and rounds off the session with a special live performance.
