Symphonion

Founded in 1885 by Oscar Paul Lochmann, Gustave Brachhausen and Paul Riessner, The Symphonion Company produced the first disc-playing musical box. After less than two years, Brachhausen and Riessner left and started the Polyphon company making musical boxes competing with Symphonion.
