Meet the Performers

Stuart Duncan

Stuart is a London-based freelance musician and sound engineer with expertise in guitar, keyboard, and synthesizer. After graduating with a Bachelor of Music from the University of the Highlands and Islands, he has performed in function bands, musical theatre productions, and festivals across Scotland, England, India, and Italy. Stuart’s extensive experience covers live performance, studio recording, and audio engineering for a range of musical settings. Alongside his freelance work, he volunteers at the Musical Museum in Kew, supporting events and preserving the tradition of live music in the community.

Joy Boole

Joy is a contemporary classical clarinetist and composer celebrated for her innovative blend of acoustic clarinet and electronic effects. With a Bachelor’s from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and a Master’s degree from the Royal College of Music, Joy’s career has included performances with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. Alongside her work as a performer and creator, Joy teaches piano and clarinet both privately and in schools, sharing her passion for music education with students of all ages. Her approach combines tradition with technology, engaging audiences and students alike in exploring new possibilities for the clarinet.
