The Musical Museum contains one of the world’s foremost collections of automatic musical instruments. From the tiny clockwork Musical Box, to the self-playing ‘Mighty Wurlitzer’, the collection embraces a comprehensive array of sophisticated reproducing pianos.
Use the ‘links’ at the side of this page to view a small sample of some of the exciting instruments and their sounds that await you when you visit the museum. Each type of instrument is described here, with a little background history, on a separate page letting you focus on your specific areas of interest.
More comprehensive information on our huge collection is to be found in a booklet that is available from the Museum shop.
